Behind the feed

A discovery needs a source.

Discoveries come from community submissions and research-selected additions. Publication means a subject is available for people to inspect and judge. It does not mean the site guarantees its claims.

Start with the people behind the work

We favor direct links to a creator, manufacturer, venue or other original source where possible. Context should help visitors understand what they are seeing, who made it and whether it is available. Independent reporting can help test the claims around a release.

Use AI to help search, not to manufacture discoveries

AI may help surface candidates, research interest and demand signals, and moderate unsafe content. AI-generated discovery content, including generated images, video, music and written submissions, is not accepted. Identified AI-generated submissions are rejected. A human-made product involving technology is different from a submission made of generated content.

Review before publication

Submissions are reviewed for relevance, source context, duplicate subjects, appropriate media and prohibited content. Submitters must confirm their discovery content is not AI-generated. Moderators are asked to check the full discovery, including the source and media, before approving it. Automated safety screening does not establish authenticity.

Keep limitations visible

A creator’s announcement is not independent verification. Review cannot guarantee that every misleading claim or generated asset will be detected. Where provenance is unclear, further review is needed. Report suspected AI-generated content or other problems rather than treating publication as a certificate of authenticity.

Correct the record

Use Report on a discovery to flag a problem, or email support@fuckinawesome.com with its link and supporting evidence. Corrections, rejected submissions and hidden content are part of keeping the feed useful. Disclose if you made, sell or benefit from a discovery you submit.
